Walk the Lake front with MAPA in this Annual Event
Please Donate, Meet us at Discovery World @ 9:15am
Then stay for lunch with us after the walk.
Notice: The pre-walk meeting location has changed!!!
The walk now departs from the grounds of Discovery World. MAPA members will meet on the small hill just north of Discovery World, at the driveway to the Milwaukee Art Museum (right behind the MAM Sign. Look for our Banner. Please plan to arrive between 9:00 - 9:30 am to turn in your pledge collections and take the annual group photo. Walk starts at 10am.
Discovery World is located off of Lincoln Memorial Drive on Milwaukee’s Lakefront between the Milwaukee Art Museum and Summerfest Grounds.

May 2009 – A Huge success once again! THANK YOU ALL! We had a beautiful day for MAPA's annual participation in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk on Milwaukee’s lakefront. One of our big charity events each year and one that is near and dear to the hearts of many members. Let's do it again this year....
MAPA Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk on Milwaukee's Lakefront. This is one of most generously supported events by MAPA members for over 10 years. Walk with us on the Milwaukee Lakefront!! All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society for this most worthy cause. Meet at Discovery World at 9:15 am (look for the MAPA banner).

Toys for Tots - A MAPA Christmas Event

Annual MAPA Holiday Party and Toys for Tots(in cooperation with the Fox Company Marines).
Entertainment once again by the award winning “Boat Drunks Band” along with Special Guests. Bring an unwrapped, new Toy for a child in need. Price includes complete Buffet dinner provided by MAPA, all music, silent auctions, raffles and fun. This year there will be plenty of seating, plenty of room to dance and party!! Full cash bar available. Further details will be provided to all members soon. Invite your friends and family to make this the best event of the year while we Party with a Purpose!!
Thank you to everyone who participated in the "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk". We had great weather and a good turnout of members, friends, family and pets. Our overall collections exceeded $5,400 for this very worthy cause. We are truly blessed to have such generous members who help make a difference in this world!! Also thanks to the terrific staff at Slim McGinn’s. They kept our glasses and belly’s full!!

Fri, July 2, 7pm – Hugo Duarte House Concert. Hugo is a Key West and Parrothead favorite.
He plays frequently at Hoggs Breath Saloon in Key West, including all week of MOTM each year. Hugo will be performing an “up close and intimate” concert for MAPA members and guests. Location: VP Jeff and Robbin Meyer’s spacious backyard. $20 per person, minimum 40 guests required. BYOB (bring your own cooler, snacks and lawn chairs). This is a one you won’t want to miss, please RSVP to perkette77@yahoo.com .
Fri, July 9, 7pm – Don Middlebrook on Bunkers Patio. 7420 W. Greenfield Ave, West Allis.
An annual favorite, Don Middlebrook, returns to Bunkers on their beautiful outdoor patio (weather permitting). Join us for some great tunes, fish fry and other delicious food, plus a huge selection of tropical beverages. NO COVER CHARGE. Just show up and enjoy!!
Sat, Aug 7th – MAPA is getting ready for our 1st annual Beach Party!! We need your help and participation. The party starts at 2:00pm at Center Court Complex, 815 Northview Road, Waukesha. We’ll have beach volleyball games, bean bag toss games, and other fun. And . . . stories and tunes by our favorite, Jim Hoehn at 3:00pm, then . . . the Pirates over 40 Band starts rocking the place at 5:00 pm. $15 cover charge for all this fun. Food and beverages will be available for purchase (no carry-ins, please). Bring your sunscreen, your beach ball and beach chair and come enjoy!! In order to make this a success, we need some help from our MAPA members . ..
#1 - Please invite your friends and family to attend (this will be a “Parakeet” friendly event!)
#2 – We need some volunteers to work in shifts to assist with:
· Greet guests at the door, collect cover charge, hand out wrist bands
· Sell t-shirts and other “swag”
· 50/50 raffle ticket sellers
· Helpers with games
· Organize collections for the Food Pantry
The more volunteers we get, the less time each person will need to work, so everyone can enjoy their day while we all Party with a Purpose!! This event is rain or shine!! We will move to the indoor courts if necessary.
Mon, Aug 9, 7pm – Matt Wahl at Copper’s Pub in Country Springs Hotel. This is a member favorite annual event. Join us for great original tunes, some fun cover tunes. Over 100 bottles of beer, varied wine & martini selections and good food. NO COVER CHARGE. Just show up and enjoy!
Sat, Sep 25, – Brent Burns at Sand Bar Pub on Pewaukee Lake.
Brent is a favorite who returns for an encore for MAPA members, guests and friends of Sand Bar. Rain or Shine. $10 Cover Charge. More details to follow.
